These chocolate stout beer brownies are super easy to make, and super duper chocolaty. The chocolate comes from cocoa powder, chocolate chips, and an entire bottle of Mackinac Island Fudge Stout from Arbor Brewing Company. They turned out fantastic! They would also be delicious served with some Dragon’s Milk ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 1 12oz bottle of Arbor Brewing Company Mackinac Island Fudge Stout
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of butter(1 stick melted)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 2 cups of flour

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix the beer and cocoa powder together in a large bowl.

Step 2

Add in the sugar, butter, salt, vanilla, eggs and flour.

Step 3

Once everything is mixed together, add in the chocolate chips, and pour mixture into a greased 9×13 pan. Bake for 40 minutes, then let cool before diving in.

I decided I wanted a little peanut butter in mine, so I also added a half cup of peanut butter chips, and put a few spoon fulls of natural peanut butter on top. Then I slid a knife through the peanut butter to try for a marble effect. It wasn’t successful because the peanut butter sunk into the brownies. However they still tasted amazing!
