We’ve had a lot of questions over the last couple of months about our annual summer bash, Sip of Michigan. Unfortunately, real life and day jobs got in the way this year, so we weren’t able to put it together. The event is a ton of work, and we wanted to be sure we had the time to do it the right way, so we decided that it was better to take this year off. The good news is, it’ll definitely be back in 2014 – we’ve already started to plan for it.
We didn’t want to let this year go by, however, without doing something to help out our community – giving back is something that’s very important to us. So, we’ve decided to throw a super fancy dinner to raise money for First Step!
The dinner will take place on August 22 at the gorgeous Inn at St. John’s in Plymouth. We’ll have 5 courses
, each paired with your choice of Kuhnhenn beer, Black Star Farms wine, or a cocktail made with Valentine spirits. The evening begins with a cocktail hour, with dinner and dancing to follow. It’s a Roaring 20’s themed evening – think Great Gatsby with great booze!
Tickets begin at $125, and every dime of profit will go to benefit First Step. You can get more info and buy tickets here.
We’re very proud to partner with First Step again this year. They serve a critical role in our community by providing assistance to victims of domestic and sexual violence. They offer a lot of services: temporary housing, 24-hour helpline, counseling, legal information, and children’s services. The number of people they help is astounding, and we’re so happy to be able to help them continue their mission. If you’d like to learn more about First Step, check out their website.
We know that this event is more expensive than our usual party, and that many people won’t be able to attend because of this. We hope some of you will be able to join us, though – this is going to be a fun night for a great cause. And don’t worry – we promise that Sip of Michigan will be back in all its drunk glory next year!
