Pokemon Go! has turned into a pretty big deal since it’s launch earlier this summer. If you’re an avid player like me, and looking to catch all the pokemon, but would also like to relax and have a beer at the same time, I’ve been collecting some spots that you can do both!

Patio seating is preferred for most of these places when available, but probably won’t affect range of collecting or available pokemon. The available pokemon listed covers what I’ve seen while there, but since it appears nest and spawn rates change occasionally, YMMV. Some spots might require some wandering around the patio or bar to hit everything, so maybe bring a friend to hold your table.

Also, if you’re going to camp out, remember to drop a lure! It helps you and everyone nearby for 30 minutes!

Bill’s Beer Garden/Beer Grotto
Nearby: Blimpy Burger, West End Grill, Old Town
Stops: 3-4 pokestops depending on where you sit, and if you’re willing to walk a few paces in either direction 1-2 more.
Gym: None
Common Pokemon: Some water types and the usual city types. Saw Ghastly, Horsea, Jinx, and Drowee

Depot Town
Nearby: Sidetracks, Aubrees, Maiz and a few parks.
Stops: 2-3 while seated in most spots, but if you’re willing to lap the building you can grab 5-6 more.
Gyms: Auto heritage museum, but you’ll probably need to cross the street
Common Pokemon: Eevee, Rattata, Weedil, Pidgey, Spearow, Venonat. Might see some Nidoran, Ghastly or a Krabby.

Raven’s Club
Nearby: Mongolian BBQ, Vault of Midnight
Stops: 3-4 depending on GPS Fuzzing. I was able to collect these regularly from patio seating
Gym: With some favorable GPS movement, you can reach the gym across the street.
Common Pokemon: The usuals, Drowzee, Rattata, Zubat, and I did find a Squirtle!

Downtown Ypsi
Nearby: Red Rock, Tap Room, Smarty Catz
Stops: 3-4, depending on where you sit and ability to connect to nearby Wifi
Gym: About a block away if you’re motivated
Common Pokemon: Rattatas, Drowzee,

Ashley’s
Nearby:Nickel’s Arcade, Jimmy Johns, Red Hawk, The Diag
Stops: 1-2, maybe a few more if you can attach to some Local wifi and adjust your position
Gyms: None
Common Pokemon: Taurus, Jinx, Drowzee, Pidgey, Rattata

Honorable Mentions
Corner Brewery in Ypsi has a Gym right on top, great place to grind out for Team Mystic. But not much in terms of pokestops.
