Michigan Grapes

On March 24th, 2010, then Governor Jennifer Granholm declared April to be Michigan Wine Month in honor of Michigan’s great selection of wine and the economic contribution that the wineries make to the state. As if we need a month to honor the great wine of Michigan – we drink it all the time! None the less, we’ll take any excuse we can get to taste the wonderful grape bodied nectar of the mitten state.

There are plenty of events going on throughout the state in which you can participate in to help honor the hard working winemakers and sample delicious vino. A full list can be found on our events section, but we will highlight just a few below.

April 9-10th Michigan Wine Celebration at the Southeast Michigan Wine Trail
April 11th Michigan Wine Showcase at the Radisson Bloomfield Hills
April 12th Best of Michigan Wine Tasting at Vinology in Ann Arbor
April 13th Drink Michigan Happy Hour at Vinotecca in Royal Oak
