Like beer and brats? There’s a festival just for you! The Michigan Beer & Brat Festival will feature over 50 Michigan microbrews over Memorial Day Weekend on Saturday, May 28 (2-9pm) including the inaugural pour of Short’s summer seasonal, Nicie Spicie.
Short’s Brewery, which has been a part of the Michigan Beer & Brat Festival since its inception, is keeping its other offerings under wraps until May 28. Bell’s, Right Brain, Mt. Pleasant Brewing, Acoustic Mead, Arbor, Atwater Block, Arcadia, Founders, Jolly Pumpkin, The Livery, New Holland, North Peak, Schmohz, and Tri-City are among those showcased at this year’s festival.
Crystal Mountain continues its commitment to sustainable practices, partnering with Bay Area Recycling for Charities to make the festival a zero-waste event. Bay Area Recycling will collect all plates, napkins, utensils and food waste for composting. Glasses will be used for beer sampling as well as the option to purchase a commemorative Michigan Beer & Brat Festival pint glass for $3.
Admission to the event is $6 per person with food and beverage tokens $1 each, both can be purchased day-of or online. The Grand Rapids-based, The Outer Vibe is back to perform after headlining in 2009. The Michigan Beer & Brat Festival package includes lodging, admission and 10 tokens for the festival from $89 per adult, per night.
