Last Thursday evening, Trisha and I had the pleasure of attending the Local Roots Spring Dinner at the Henry Ford featuring wines from 2 Lads winery.  The event was held in the lovely Lovett Hall, a banquet hall from the 1930’s filled with rich history.

Lovett Hall

There were six courses, each paired with a complimentary wine from the cellars of the 2 Lads winery. One of the lads, Chris Baldyga, was on hand to describe the wines, while the head chef from the Henry Ford also spoke on the food pairings.

2 Lads Wine

The food was a bit eclectic, with entrees like roasted pork bellies, and buttermilk panna cotta for dessert. It was refreshing to try something different and all local! The amazing wines from the 2 Lads made the experience all the better. A BIG thanks to the Henry Ford and 2 Lads Winery for letting us be a part of the night. Trisha and I could barely move after we nearly licked our plates clean.
