Clinton Twp., Michigan –
Metro-Detroit craft brewery, Kuhnhenn Brewing Co., is excited to announce the official opening dates for their new location in nearby Clinton Twp.
The new location, located at 36000 Groesbeck, Clinton Twp., MI 48035, will officially open its doors to the public on Monday February 29, at 11:00am. The Taproom features 280 seats, with a full kitchen, in addition to the house-made beer, wine, mead, and distilled spirits. Located in a largely industrial stretch of Macomb County, the facility is housed in a former home and garden center, and features a full-scale production and distribution space, in addition to the Taproom. The building was completely renovated and now boasts an impressive 45,000 square feet of space.
Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 11am-12am, Friday-Saturday 11am-2am, and Sunday 11am-10pm. While the primary focus will always be the beer, a full kitchen was built into the space in order to offer a food component. The small menu consists of artisan sausages, charcuterie and cheese boards, and small plate items to complement the house-made craft beverages.
A hiring fair took place last month to staff the large restaurant and bar operation. The company is proud to announce the hiring of 60 new hourly and 4 new salary team members for this, their second location. As a whole, Kuhnhenn Brewing Company currently employs 95 hourly and 10 salary team members across two locations. The original location at 5919 Chicago Rd, Warren, MI 48092, will remain open, and continue to produce small-batch beers, while the Clinton location will primarily brew large batches for distribution. The products will continue to be available in draft form only for the immediate future.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Wednesday, March 2, at 4:30pm, in coordination with the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Office of Clinton Twp Supervisor, Bob Cannon.
Kuhnhenn Brewing Co. was founded in 1998 as a homebrewing supplies store, with the brewery becoming licensed in 2001.
